THE RITUAL, IN FOUR MOVEMENTS
Once your order is paid, a private form opens and asks for the details the petition has to carry: the name it is written in, a birth date, a city, and the wish itself. Ordering on behalf of a parent, a partner or a friend is welcome — simply tell us the relation.
Your petition is then written out by hand, character by character. The more precise the wish, the better it lands: not “may work go well,” but “may the September interview go well.”
Your petition is carried to the altar of the deity the offering belongs to, read aloud, and formally presented. Divination blocks are then cast to confirm that it has been received.
If the blocks decline, we do not force it. The wording of a wish sometimes needs adjusting; we come back to you, revise it, and present it again. Nothing is burned unheard.
A date is chosen to suit the offering — auspicious-day sets are burned on the day itself — and the rite is carried out at the furnace of an allied temple in Taiwan.
We light the fire by hand and let each portion burn through completely, unhurried. Nothing is rushed, and nothing is burned in bulk with other people’s offerings.
When the rite is complete, a private completion record returns to your account describing what was carried out and when. Every offering shows its own turnaround before you pay, and the record is delivered within it.
A completion photograph is included only where it is listed for that offering before payment. We would rather promise less and keep it than promise more and explain.
None of this is asked for at checkout. Choosing an offering takes a moment; the private form that collects these details opens once your payment is confirmed.

Yes. The petition is written in their name and noted as presented on your behalf, and you do not need their birth hour. Please only send details they are willing to have shared.
Give us the Gregorian date and we convert it for you. If you do not know the hour, leave it blank — no Altar Wish offering depends on it.
At the furnaces of allied temples in Taiwan, chosen to suit the presiding deity of the offering you selected. Nothing is burned at a private address.

Monthly Wish is a subscription rather than a single order. Each funded month opens a fresh private form for that month’s wording, and you can cancel at any time from your account.
No. Nothing is posted and nothing crosses a border. The offering is carried out in Taiwan on your behalf, and only the record returns to your account.
Write to member support before the rite is carried out and we will do what we can. Once a petition has entered the fire it cannot be recalled, and refunds are reviewed case by case.
